The races will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of The Japan Association of Athletic Federation (JAAF) and of the organizers.

Eligibility

Full marathon
・Athletes born on or before April 1, 1997
・Athletes capable of completing the race within 6 hours.
10km
・Athletes born on or before April 1, 2000.
・Athletes capable of complete the race within 1 hour and 20minutes.
10km(wheelchair)
・Athletes born on or before April 1, 2003.
・Athletes capable of complete the race within 45minutes with wheelchair for racing.
2km(wheelchair) with a guide (runner)
・Athletes born on or before April 1, 2009. ・Athletes capable of complete the race within 40minutes with wheelchair.

Highlights of Yokohama Marathon

point1 Performances at Water Station
Water station is a place to entertain and cheer runners. Yokohama Marathon 2016 will prepare no less than 18 water stations along the course with performances to make runners happier.

point2 Lucky Food
Besides usual food supplied to all runners at water station, a certain number of local food from Yokohama and Kanagawa will be supplied in a fixed time, which is called Lucky Food. Good luck with your run.

point3 Metropolitan Expressway
Metropolitan Expressway has been introduced to the marathon course for the first time in Japan. Runners can fully enjoy the views of places like Yokohama Bay Bridge and the Port of Yokohama feeling sea wind.

point4 EXPO & FESTA

The events that runners, visitors and anybody can find entertainment will be held in PACIFICO Yokohama. Yokohama Marathon EXPO 2016, for two days before the race day, features many exhibitors offering official merchandise store, stores and restaurants in Yokohama, and the latest in sports and health.

Yokohama Marathon Festa 2016 is a great opportunity to have more fun on the race day. Both events are free and open to the public.
